Harry: I wish I had a friend :(
Reading Festival! (pt.2: Post-Festival)
The only photo of me I mildly like. And even in this my mouth looks like the one I drew on a dinosaur last night.
It’s close to a week since I got home. Without going into immense detail, the festival was a-mazing. Highlights include: Arctic Monkeys, The Maccabees, Jamie T, Dananananykroyd, The Rumble Strips & Friendly Fires.
Everything else that was brilliant:

I can't wait to move here
Even if I don’t get into university, I still want to move here.
A plan? Yes, a plan!
Okay, I put a lot of thought into this. Next year I want to take a degree in History. I originally wanted to take English Literature but then became drawn to the idea of History and English Lit in a double honours. I decided against that when I realised I’m not particularly fond of English and, well, it’d prolly be a lot of work. So History it is. Anyway, yesterday we got our AS...
Results!
B in History- I got a C in my International History paper and an A in my British History paper (squee) so overall that equated to a B. I’m looking to retake the former as I’d quite like to bump it up to an A tbh.
B in Politics- A high A in paper 1 for my essay on Socialism and New Labour (3 times Yes! couldn’t be more pleased about that) and a high D for paper 2 on Current...
A dreaded sunny day so lets go where we're happy...
I don’t do much these days. I laze around and cyber-socialise with people. Don’t knock it. It’s actually fun. I got back from Wales last Thursday and proceeded to get horrendously wasted that night. The less of that the better. Friday was spent with Thomas in Westfield. I do miss that boy. Saturday I moped around the house in typical teenage fashion. Then Sunday Theo, Sandra and...
Top banana
Good film.
R.I.P John Hughes
I wasn’t intending to Tumblr today but thanks to Twitter I found out John Hughes had passed away. I recognised the name from somewhere so I wiki’d him and I found out he created 3 of my favourite childhood films and 1 of my favourite teenage ones. So I’m quite gutted he’s dead now.
So anyway, to honour his achievements (or something) here’s a run down of my favourite...
Lazy days
I spent today with this rather delightful young man:
We went to Westfield where he procceded to try on a number of items in Topman/H&M/Pull and Bear before buying us both lunch. Nom nom. I love spending time with Seb ‘cause he’s so easy to talk to (and to annoy). Then he came back to mine and carried Omar’s speakers downstairs because I pretended I was too weak but really...

New Arctic Monkeys’ album has leaked. Expect my opinion shortly…
Resumen de mi día de hoy
I thought the Spanish might make the title more interesting.
So today, after a lengthly train journey I met up with Oscar in central and we spontaneously decided to go see this:
Naturally I was very excited at this decision as I had not yet seen the film and I’ve been wanting to for quite some time. Oscar graciously paid the stupidly expensive ticket price (one of the many reasons I hate...
'I cannot emphasise enough that my body is a badly...
So yesterday, we (we being Alice, Kat, Jo, Harry, Megan, Edward, Chloe, Lorna and myself) went to this:
Body Worlds!
I went previously to the exhibition when it was situated in Brick Lane and I was about 10 years old. It was quite a different experience this time. For starters the exhibition opened with a selection of dead foetus’ arranged in an aging order, starting from tiny embryos...
I have watched 3 Harry Potter films today
They look so young in the first one it’s actually quite sweet. I’m gutted I couldn’t go and see the sixth one today. I have been awaiting this for quite some time. I remember when the seventh book came out someone on my myspace posted a bulletin that read something along the lines of I just finished the last Harry Potter book and it’s a coming of age thing for me. I finally...
Sing it loud, sing it proud- Benicassim Festival...
So I got home less than an hour ago and I’m ALREADY on the internet eager to blog about my overly fantastic long weekend. Which everyone has heard me be excited about for the past few months. Now it’s over. I’m quite saddened by this. But to press on before I go stupidly emo here; the long short of it is that I actually can’t be bothered to write up EVERY SINGLE LAST DETAIL...
Why the storming of the Bastille is politically...
Warning this is a long and (most likely) dull political/historical post, so if that’s not yr thing don’t read much further.
14th July 1789 - Bastille Day. Popped up on my Twitter today and I was previously unaware that this was actually a French National Holiday. The storming of the Bastille was not a political act in itself, it was actually in order to gain gunpowder for the 20,000...
Last day of school
I only had two History lessons and these were unemotional and tedious. I’m quite gutted Mr Jones is leaving though. He’s been my History teacher for 5 years and I think I might have got an A with him teaching. I hope the new one is up to scratch. This time tomorrow I will be here:
And then on Thursday I will be here:
Sounds good to me? I am so very excited, there are some amazing...
For the record: I was sort of taking the piss in my last post.
I am not 13.
Bill Compton is hot though.
Why vampire boyfriends are better than human...
So there was this huge Twilight frenzy this year/last year that I didn’t totally understand but recently I started watching True Blood and I realised what all the fuss was about concerning the undead. So I decided to compile a list of why vampire boys are just so much better than human boys:
1. Fangs
At least 10 of my facebook friends became a fan of ‘biting’; what are...
Sticks N' Stones n' other recently released tunes.
So I downloaded the new Jamie T EP today. At first I was a bit sceptical ‘cause he released a song a while ago (Fire, Fire) that was abysmal. But Sticks N’ Stones is actually a tune. I’m really really impressed, I think it could rival Ike and Tina as being one of his best songs. It has a really nice repetitive drum beat that continues all the way through and compliments the style...
